Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Rockford, IL is seeking an assembly technician for second shift. You will perform assembly, inspection, and disassembly activities on sub- and final-assembly components, following engineering drawings and route cards. The role requires 1–2 years of assembly experience and a high school diploma, with U.S.

citizenship for program access. Onsite work with opportunities to learn brazing, soldering and calibration practices, plus participation in quality and documentation

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to information.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• 1–2 years of assembly experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, inspect, disassemble, reassemble and repair sub and final assemblies.
• Maintain quality stamp authority and complete required documentation.
• Follow written instructions and engineering prints for problem analysis.
• Troubleshoot units and operate/maintain department machinery and tooling.
• Learn machine brazing, soldering and balancing as needed.
• Recordkeeping for measurements, calibration and process control.
