Job summary

RTX Collins Aerospace is seeking a quality inspector for 2nd shift in Rockford, IL. You will perform CMM inspections, use micrometers, calipers and gauges, and collaborate with engineers and customers to assure dimensional accuracy.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 3–5 years of relevant experience, GD&T expertise, and aerospace familiarity. Training on 1st shift for 90 days, then transition through split shift before settling on 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• U.S. citizenship required to access program/contract.
• 3–5+ years of relevant inspection experience.
• Familiarity with micrometers, calipers, gauges, depth mics.
• GD&T experience.
• Experience with aerospace products.

Responsibilities

• Perform CMM inspections and verify dimensions with assistance.
• Assist in setup and check-in procedures with standard gauging where available.
• Prepare and present parts to customers in the buy-off area.
• Maintain audit records for certified operators.
• Write non-conformance tags for rejects.
