Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Rockford, IL is seeking a manufacturing technician to perform testing, inspection, mounting, and assembly tasks on Ram Air Turbine components. The role requires basic hand tool experience, ability to read engineering drawings, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The position is on-site with first shift hours and a strong emphasis on documentation, problem-solving, and collaboration with engineering and suppliers. Candidates must be U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required for access to program/contract.
• 1-2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or assembly.
• 1-2 years of basic hand tool knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Testing, inspection, mounting hardware, plumbing, diagnosing.
• Must be able to maintain quality stamp authority.
• Must be able to complete necessary documents and records.
• Operate according to written instructions and engineering prints.
• Perform environmental checks and maintain cleanliness of work area.
• Calculate fractions and decimals and perform shop mathematics.
• Interface with supervision, engineering, suppliers and other personnel to resolve problems.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
