Job summary

RTX Pratt & Whitney in Wells, ME is hiring for a Weekend Shift 2 opportunity. Work Friday–Sunday, 6pm–6:30am on 3 x 12 hour shifts. You’ll receive 4–8 weeks of on-the-job training to become a Certified Operator on current engine designs and assemblies.

Responsibilities include following operation sheets, verifying finished parts with precise instruments, and collaborating with engineers and QA staff to resolve issues. English work instructions apply.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience preferred.
• Ability to compute decimals and fractions.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform routine assembly operations on large sections of current engine designs and a variety of similar assemblies.
• Learn to verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Obtain operator Certification to be able to accept/reject parts.
• Learn to maintain machines by performing required total preventive maintenance (TPM).
• Learn to work with engineers, QA, and production personnel to resolve assembly problems.
• Role references written work instructions in English for daily activities.
