Job summary

Pratt & Whitney RTX is seeking candidates for a Weekend Shift 2 opportunity in North Berwick, ME. The role runs Friday through Sunday (3 x 12 hour shifts) and aims to certify operators for engine assembly tasks.

Onsite work with on-the-job training and collaboration across engineers, QA and production staff. HS diploma required with chance to advance through TPM and certification processes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of manufacturing, automotive or related trade experience preferred.
• Ability to compute with decimals and fractions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Learn to perform routine assembly operations on large sections of current engine designs and similar assemblies.
• Work from operation sheets and travelers to complete tasks with precision.
• Verify conformance of finished work to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Obtain operator certification to accept/reject parts.
• Maintain machines by performing total preventive maintenance (TPM).
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, programmers and production personnel to resolve issues.
