Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is hiring an onsite Production Worker II for the 1st shift in Jacksonville, FL Busch Dr. The role involves assembling naval parts, following standard work, and collaborating with a team of technicians to deliver quality components on schedule.

You will operate presses, ovens, autoclaves, and hand tools, read procedures, and participate in cross-training to support manufacturing operations. Physical lifting is required and overtime may be needed.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Must either have or be willing to obtain certification to operate a powered industrial vehicle (forklifts, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Work closely with 10-20 other Composite Technicians under supervision to bring essential naval products to life.
• Follow clearly described procedures and instructions for assembly of parts, subassemblies, and larger components.
• Perform casting of materials to fabricate parts and/or for repair applications.
• Fabricate polyurethane and similar materials into subassemblies for pre-fitting before bonding.
• Load and operate presses, ovens, and autoclaves, adhering to equipment requirements and sequences.
• Layout, pre-fit, assemble and cast polyurethane and similar material on various molds and surfaces.
• Verify work to ensure a defect-free part prior to quality control.
• Provide specialized technical assistance and interact with team members to implement solutions.
• Operate large manual, electric & pneumatic tools for assembly/disassembly of large steel structures.
