Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Summer 2027 Additive Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support laser powder bed fusion part development and production. You will gain hands-on experience in propulsion design, development, manufacturing, test and production, while contributing to a design guideline and geometry library for additive manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• Hands-on design and operation in any category of 3D printing.
• 3D CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Support LPBF component manufacturing at Ursa Major.
• Develop guidelines for standardized support structure and modeling strategies.
• Create a library of standard witness and mechanical specimen geometries.
• Collaborate with additive technicians to operate LPBF machines and post-process builds.
• Additive manufacturing build file setup and programming.
