Job summary

Safran Aerosystems USA in Wall Township, New Jersey, seeks a Design Engineer II to help design, analyze, and support life-saving evacuation systems. The role will involve taking concepts through development, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring products meet safety and quality standards.

You will apply Catia and hands-on tooling experience to develop tests, document results, and contribute to cost-optimized production while working within a global aerospace leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• More than 3 years of engineering experience.
• Experience in multiple technical disciplines such as polymers, composites, fabrication methods, coatings, castings, or machining.
• Developing project management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Own small-scale projects from concept to implementation and obtain buy-in from more senior engineers.
• Develop testing protocols and execute them with input from others.
• Contribute to reduction of production costs through design refinement and better production methods.
• Provide problem resolution using root cause corrective action methodologies.
