Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a senior Systems Engineer to lead architecture, requirements, and integration for complex satellite mission software in classified environments. You will drive MBSE, define backlogs, and collaborate with distributed teams to deliver secure cloud-based solutions.

Onsite work at SCIF/SAPF facilities is required; TS/SCI clearance is mandatory. Bachelor’s degree and CSEP are preferred; experience as a technical lead is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of systems engineering experience on complex, cloud-based, or proliferated satellite systems.
• Experience as a technical lead and as a systems engineering leader delivering complex mission software and developing system architectures, requirements, interface definitions, system test plans, deployment plans, and training.
• Experience conducting test and evaluation of system performance and documenting results.
• Experience with MBSE (Model Based Systems Engineering) and Modeling and Simulation.
• Experience with Agile, requirements management, increment planning, software design, system test planning, risk management, configuration management, and cybersecurity.
• Ability to work onsite at an accredited SCIF or SAPF to support classified system integration.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems preferred.
• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification preferred.

• Experience with program protection and cybersecurity hardening, including High/Moderate security categorizations
• Knowledge of Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) techniques
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems preferred
• Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) Certification
