- Maintain and develop new software products for cryogenic spacecraft fueling
- Implement modern design principles and concepts
- Provide solutions to difficult technical problems
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Technology Architects, QA, and Automation team members in an Agile environment
- Support the Ground Software Fluids team with technical leadership and hands‑on development
- Deliver operational and enabling capabilities meeting hard real‑time requirements for command and control of propulsion and electrical ground support equipment systems
- Provide technical leadership and guidance or training to less experienced engineers
- Potentially serve in Authorized Systems Engineer (ASE) responsibilities
- Help ensure delivery of mission‑critical software used during launch vehicle manufacturing, preflight testing, and launch countdown
- Support launch events by remotely shadowing launch operations teams
- Design, develop, operate, and maintain software, firmware, and computing systems software
- Integrate software with engineering, scientific, and manufacturing systems
- Take ownership of specific programs and projects or portions of larger projects
- Apply standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle
- Generate engineering applications and products including display systems, mechanical control systems, and electrical control systems used to operate rockets
- Interface with customers, suppliers, application users, and technical and support personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 4+ years of related work experience
- Experience working on an agile development team
- Experience independently designing, developing, and delivering solutions to difficult software/hardware problems
- Experience presenting hardware/software system architecture and designs to internal audiences and external customers
- Experience authoring, executing, and reviewing software products throughout the full software development life cycle
- Experience with object-oriented designs and languages
- Experience with C/C++
- Experience with Software Configuration Management practices
- Experience with Agile Methodologies
- Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience with Software Design Principles
- Experience with Configuration Management practices and tools such as Git
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined in ITAR 22 CFR 120.62
