Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an Aero Thermal Fluids Specialist Engineer in Canoga Park, CA to perform advanced thermodynamics and CFD analyses for space and defense programs.

You will use a mix of commercial and in-house tools to correlate models, review results, and document analyses for program reviews, while supporting verification tests and collaboration with design engineers. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience; or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and combustion.
• Ability to obtain US Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze heat transfer, CFD, combustion devices, and rotating machinery for space/defense systems.
• Produce analysis and test reports; present results to internal/external customers.
• Support propulsion system verifications and collaborate with designers and project engineers.
• Occasional travel to support off-site testing.
