Job summary

Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to set up and operate shot peening and related processes in a high-precision aerospace environment.

You will work from blueprints and engineering documents to fabricate, assemble and inspect components, utilizing precision measuring tools and maintaining certifications. The role requires at least 2 years of shot peening experience, familiarity with BAC standards and related specs, and willingness to work any shift as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years shot peening experience.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with technical documentation such as product tech sheets and process guidelines.
• Willing and able to work any shift, including alternate work weeks.

Responsibilities

• Set up, support and produce high-quality aerospace components and to help create a highly productive work environment.
• Plan, check, establish a sequence of work to fabricate, assemble and inspect hardware per planning and quality requirements.
• Read blueprints, sketches, and work orders to perform operations per engineering instructions.
• Utilize precision measuring equipment to inspect in-process and finished parts.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure compliance with safety and quality programs.
