Job summary

Midco is seeking a Construction Technician to support the regional network, interpret maps, capture design data, and perform aerial and underground installs and repairs. The role requires field duties, safety compliance, and occasional travel within the region.

Compensation reflects experience, with a clear path from Technician I to III as you gain FTR certifications. The position emphasizes safety training, DOT compliance, and teamwork with mentors guiding newer technicians on diverse tasks

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Complete Construction First Time Right (FTR) certification within 60 days of hire.
• Valid driver's license with clean record; DOT requirements applicable.
• Working knowledge of construction codes and safety standards (NEC, OSHA).

Responsibilities

• Interpret and use network maps, plans, and design docs.
• Capture and modify design data using GPS, smartphones, and laptops.
• Install and repair aerial and underground regional networks.
• Coordinate with utilities for house moves and cable relocations.
• Prepare site surveys and locate existing underground cables.
• Install drops, taps, amplifiers, and power supplies; splice coaxial cable.
• Ground service drops and pre-wire new builds.
• Operate signal meters and read RF levels; use TDR where needed.
• Obtain required certifications and operate bucket trucks safely.
• Mentor new hires and ensure safety compliance.
• Maintain vehicle and follow Midco policies.
