Job summary

PTR Global is seeking an experienced Aerial Pole Engineer on a direct hire basis. This role can be remote, but preference is for candidates in Charlotte, NC; Wilkes-Barre, PA; or Albuquerque, NM to align with client deployments.

The engineer will oversee make-ready projects, coordinate with power utilities, clients, and contractors, and ensure QA and schedules are met. Duties include field inspections, pole measurements, processing make-ready and pole attachment applications, tracking budgets

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of telecommunication network experience.
• Understanding of network architecture; experience with electric utilities preferred.
• Ability to read aerial and underground FTTH plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of pole attachments, ROW permitting, construction and QC.
• Strong computer skills; MS Office & Google Suite; ArcGIS, AutoCAD, Katapult, OCalc, SpidaCalc preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional teamwork.
• Self-starter with analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead make-ready engineering projects and crews.
• Coordinate with utilities, clients, general contractors and vendors.
• Maintain project schedules and budgets with QA and solutions.
• Accelerate aerial makeready applications and track progress.
• Onboard strategic partners to augment capacity.
• Perform field inspections and verify pole measurements for submissions.
• Prepare permit applications and provide status reports.
• Forecast material needs and track invoices; monitor costs.
• Maintain Make Ready data trackers and communicate updates.
• Coach client team leads and engineers.
