Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services is seeking an Aerial Lift Trimmer to trim, prune, and remove trees using bucket trucks and other equipment. This full-time role emphasizes safe practices and daily preparation of materials.

Responsibilities include performing professional tree maintenance, clearing vegetation around utility lines, debris disposal, and maintaining tools. Travel for storm work may be required and first-aid/CPR certification is expected.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate working knowledge of knots, ropes and rigging devices used in tree trimming/removal.
• Must be able to identify tree species.
• Must be familiar with electrical hazards and procedures near conductors and aloft.
• Must work and maneuver at considerable heights under varying weather conditions.
• Must possess strength, agility, balance, and depth perception; hear instructions.
• Must obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must administer emergency rescue techniques, including tree rescue.
• Must wear PPE and travel for storm restoration work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce safe practices and rules.
• Prepare truck and materials each day as directed by General Foreperson.
• Perform professional tree maintenance per General Foreperson guidance.
• Clear/trim trees and brush from utility lines; remove branches and debris.
• Clean up and dispose of debris.
• Maintain and track tools and equipment used daily.
• Continually develop climbing and tree maintenance skills.
• Assist other crew members in daily activities.
• Safeguard employees and the public from hazards; maintain a clean work area; communicate with teammates.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
