Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts seeks an Aerial Lift Trimmer to trim, prune, and remove trees using bucket trucks or similar equipment. Prior aerial lift experience with a tree care company is required, and a valid driver's license is essential.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, following safety rules, and performing storm restoration tasks as needed. This full-time role offers health insurance benefits and a 401K plan.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate working knowledge of knots, ropes and rigging devices used in tree trimming and removal.
• Able to identify tree species.
• Familiar with electrical hazards and procedures near conductors when aloft.
• Ability to work and maneuver at considerable heights under varying weather conditions.
• Must obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and enforce safety rules.
• Prepare truck and materials as directed by Foreperson.
• Perform professional tree maintenance as directed.
• Clear and trim trees and brush around utility lines; remove debris.
• Clean up and dispose of debris; maintain tools and equipment.
• Improve climbing and tree maintenance skills; continue professional development.
• Assist crew members as needed in daily activities.
• Safeguard workers and public by enforcing safety and staying in communication.
• Perform storm-work duties when required.
