Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services are seeking an Aerial Lift Trimmer in the United States. The role involves trimming, pruning and removing trees using bucket truck equipment, with emphasis on safety and adherence to procedures.

Candidates should have basic experience or willingness to learn aerial lift operations, valid driver's license, and potential CDL opportunity. This full-time position includes benefits and opportunities for storm restoration work.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate working knowledge of knots, ropes and rigging used in tree trimming/removal.
• Must identify tree species.
• Must be familiar with electrical hazards and operating procedures near conductors/aloft.
• Must work at heights in varying weather conditions.
• Must have physical strength, balance, depth perception, and hearing instructions.
• Must obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR.
• Must apply emergency rescue techniques including tree rescue.
• Must travel for storm restoration work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Follow and enforce safe practices and rules.
• Prepare truck & materials for each day under Foreperson guidance.
• Perform professional tree maintenance as directed by Foreperson.
• Clear/trim trees away from utility lines; remove branches/material.
• Clean up and dispose of debris.
• Maintain and track tools/equipment used daily.
• Improve climbing/tree maintenance skills.
• Assist other crew members in daily activities.
• Safeguard people from hazards; keep area clean; stay in contact with coworkers.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
