Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services in Iowa is seeking an Aerial Lift Trimmer to trim, prune, and remove trees using a bucket truck or similar equipment. You must have prior aerial lift experience in tree care and a valid driver’s license.

Essential functions include following safety rules, preparing materials, performing maintenance, and assisting in storm restoration. A strong focus on safety, physical endurance, and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience operating an aerial lift in a tree care setting.
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of knots, ropes and rigging devices used in trimming.
• Must be able to identify tree species and assess hazards near electrical lines.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe practices and enforce safety rules.
• Prepare truck and materials as directed by Foreperson.
• Perform professional tree maintenance and trimming operations.
• Clear and trim trees and debris away from utility lines.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep daily logs.
• Travel for storm restoration work as needed.
