Job summary

Air Methods is seeking a senior paramedic for the Wilcox, AZ area to deliver high-level pre-hospital care in hostile environments. The role emphasizes staying current with state scope of practice, documentation, and ongoing education while supporting a 24/7 helicopter transport mission.

Qualified candidates have 3+ years in busy 911 systems and a Bachelor’s degree is preferred; critical care transport or flight experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred.
• Minimum three years’ recent experience in a busy 911 system.
• Previous critical care transport and flight experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact to transfer.
• Maintain thorough patient care documentation.
• Practice within state scope of practice and maintain competency.
• Attend pre-mission briefings, assist pilot and maintain safety.
• Report medical equipment status and ensure repairs.
• Participate in patient follow-up and outreach activities.
