Job summary

Air Methods in Springfield, IL seeks an EMT-Post licensure flight paramedic to join the CBS program. You will perform pre-hospital advanced life support, document patient care, and operate under state rules and Air Methods guidelines while maintaining equipment and contributing to neonatal/pediatric transports.

The role requires 3+ years in a busy 911 system, ongoing education, and flexibility for 24/7 on-call rotation, with a strong focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

Licensed EMT-P in state(s) served.
Bachelor’s degree in health-related field preferred.
Minimum three years’ busy 911 system experience.
Flight transport experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide pre-hospital advanced life support care and document care thoroughly.
Operate within state scope and Air Methods CBS guidelines.
Attend pre-mission briefings and post-mission debriefings and complete paperwork.
Maintain equipment and supplies onboard aircraft and report failures.
Support neonatal/pediatric transport and assist pilots as needed.
Engage in continuing education and professional activities.
