Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam in Kentucky is hiring a Helicopter Pilot to provide medical air transportation services. The role offers a salary range of $106,511 - $117,162 with a 20% geographic modifier, plus a $15K sign-on bonus and retention bonuses after years of service.

On-duty housing is provided under a 7/7 schedule. Responsibilities include coordinating with medical teams to transport patients, ensuring aircraft readiness, maintaining regulatory documentation, and staying current with

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• 2,000 total flight hours; 1,500 helicopter hours; 1,000 helicopter PIC hours; 500 turbine hours.
• 100 hours night unaided, or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours aided.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the manuals, including FAR and Air Evac Lifeteam requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties.
• Maintain accurate Air Evac Lifeteam documentation and record keeping.
• Communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change information to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Air Evac Lifeteam change board details.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

Education

High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher

FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Certificate

FAA Helicopter Instrument Rating

FAA Class II Medical Certificate

Helicopter PIC Hours 1,000
