Job summary

MacKay is seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team in either Atlanta, GA or Chicago, IL. You will lead full-cycle recruiting for engineering, surveying, construction management, and environmental roles, partnering with hiring managers to build a strong talent pipeline.

You'll source passive candidates, manage interview processes, and ensure a top-notch candidate experience while upholding our values of Honesty, Dedication, and Relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 4–6 years of experience in talent acquisition in the AEC industry or adjacent field.
• Experience developing sourcing strategies using multiple channels (LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals).
• Proven track record of successful hiring and pipeline development.
• Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices; experience with ATS/HRIS.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruitment for engineering and technical roles, primarily East Coast and Midwest.
• Partner with hiring managers to define requirements, timelines, and team dynamics.
• Develop sourcing plans and engage active and passive candidates through multiple channels.
• Coordinate interviews, assessments, offers, and onboarding experiences.
• Maintain accurate candidate records and reporting within the ATS.
