Responsibilities
  • Lead the organization's overall talent acquisition strategy, recruiting operations, and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding coordination.
  • Develop and maintain strong talent pipelines for Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) positions, including architects, engineers, project managers, construction managers, estimators, superintendents, skilled professionals, and corporate support roles.
  • Partner with executive leadership and hiring managers to understand workforce needs, define hiring strategies, and establish recruiting priorities.
  • Develop proactive sourcing strategies using LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, professional associations, networking, referrals, and industry-specific recruiting channels.
  • Build relationships with passive candidates and develop long-term talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill positions.
  • Create and implement recruiting strategies designed to attract top talent within the AEC, construction, engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and professional services industries.
  • Establish recruiting metrics and KPIs, including time-to-fill, time-to-submit, source effectiveness, candidate quality, offer acceptance rate, and hiring manager satisfaction.
  • Develop and strengthen the company's employer brand and candidate experience.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recruiting workflows, applicant tracking systems, interview processes, and overall talent acquisition efficiency.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop compelling job descriptions and ensure positions are effectively marketed to qualified candidates.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, recruiting best practices, and company policies throughout the hiring process.
  • Manage relationships with external recruiting firms, staffing agencies, universities, professional organizations, and other talent partners as needed.
  • Develop talent acquisition programs that support employee retention, succession planning, workforce growth, and long-term organizational development.
  • Stay current on labor market trends, compensation expectations, recruiting technology, and talent availability within the AEC and construction markets.
  • Coach and develop recruiting team members while establishing consistent recruiting standards, processes, and best practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive talent acquisition or recruiting experience, with demonstrated success managing full-cycle recruitment.
  • Strong experience recruiting within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience recruiting for engineering, architecture, construction, infrastructure, project management, professional services, or other technical roles.
  • Experience developing and executing strategic talent acquisition programs in a growing organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to source and attract both active and passive candidates for difficult-to-fill positions.
  • Experience partnering with executives, department leaders, and hiring managers on workforce planning and recruiting strategy.
  • Strong knowledge of ATS and recruiting technology, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, sourcing tools, and candidate relationship management.
  • Experience tracking and analyzing talent acquisition metrics and recruiting KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, recruiting compliance, interview best practices, and candidate evaluation.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic talent acquisition leadership with hands-on recruiting execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and recruiting initiatives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Strong understanding of the talent market and recruiting challenges associated with AEC, construction, engineering, and architecture organizations.
