Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a Part-Time Hourly Advocate to serve youth and families in Camden County, NJ. The position offers hourly pay and flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

The Advocate will initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services, using a strength-based wrap around model to support youth and families in community, school, and home settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field is preferred.
• Prior Experience working with at-risk youth and families in a community, school, and home setting.
• Experience working in community-based services and knowledge of community resources.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and using computers.
• Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is preferred.
• Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• Provide wrap-around, strength-based advocacy based on individualized service plans.
• Collaborate with partners and families to support youth outcomes.

Job description

Status: Part-Time Hourly

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Hourly Rate: $19.25

Summary of the Position:Hourly, Part Time position serving youth and families throughout Camden County are available.

• Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.
• The Primary responsibilitiesof the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

Position offers weekly pay, direct deposit, mileage, and activity reimbursement.

Availability:Flexible non-traditional hours - may require evenings and weekends
