Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Hourly Advocate to support youth and families throughout Marion County, Indiana. You will initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services with a wraparound, strength-based approach.

This role offers flexible hours and competitive weekly pay. Requires a High School Diploma or GED, experience with at-risk youth, reliable transportation and strong communication skills; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with at-risk youth and in community work preferred.
• Proficiency with computers, MS Office 365; knowledge of EHR is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services for participants and their families.
• Base service plans on a strength-based wraparound model.
• Serve as a positive role model in the community, at school and at home settings.

Job description

Status: Full-Time Hourly

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Summary of the Position:

Full -Time Hourly Advocate position serving youth and families throughout Marion Countyis available.

• Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.
• The Primary responsibilitiesof the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

This position offers flexible hours, competitive weekly pay, and activity reimbursement.

Availability - 40 hours per week

Qualifications/Requirements:

• A minimum High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources.
• Experience working with at-risk youth
• Proficiency using computers, Microsoft Office 365; Knowledge of Electronic Health Record Systems (EHR) is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage is required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) speaking is a plus.
