Job summary

Youth Advocate Programs, Inc. is hiring for an hourly, part-time Advocate to serve youth and families in Camden County, NJ. The role requires flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel to homes and schools.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma (Associates preferred), reliable transportation, and Spanish-language ability is a plus. Benefits include weekly pay, direct deposit, and reimbursement for mileage and activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associates Degree preferred in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field.
• Experience with at-risk youth and families in community, school, and home settings.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with EHR is a plus.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• Use a strength-based wrap-around model to base service plans on community resources.
• Travel within Camden County to homes and schools to deliver advocacy services.
• Maintain records and document activities; ensure timely reporting.
• Support youth in community, school, and home settings as a positive role model.

Job description

Summary of the Position:Hourly, Part Time position serving youth and families throughout Camden County are available.

• Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings.
• The Primary responsibilitiesof the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families.
• All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.

Position offers weekly pay, direct deposit, mileage, and activity reimbursement.

Availability:Flexible non-traditional hours - may require evenings and weekends

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associates Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field is preferred.
• Prior Experience working with at-risk youth and families in a community, school, and home setting
• Experience working in community-based services and knowledge of community resources.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and using computers
• Experience using an electronic health record (EHR) system is a plus.
• Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is preferred.
• Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage
