Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related degree preferred, or equivalent work experience with victims of crime.
• Requires minimum of one year experience in social services or mental health environment; nonprofit experience preferred.
• Proven computer skills, including Microsoft Office; strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention services for clients by phone or walk-in.
• Perform intakes and needs assessments; refer to community resources.
• Develop service plans for survivors and connect clients with DVIS services and shelter when needed.
• Advocate for clients with external agencies and accompany to court or appointments.
• Coordinate outreach to inform community about DVIS services; maintain client files per guidelines.
• Keep statistics and generate reports as requested.
