Job summary

The Bridge Over Troubled Waters, Inc. seeks an Advocate to provide mobile advocacy and case-management for survivors of domestic and sexual violence, connecting them with community resources to support safety and self-sufficiency.

The Advocate will conduct intake, safety planning, crisis intervention, and accompany clients to appointments or court, coordinating housing, legal advocacy, and counseling services as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or a high school diploma with two years of related experience.
• Bilingual Spanish/English required.
• Must have own reliable transportation and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide mobile advocacy and case-management to survivors.
• Connect clients with housing, legal advocacy, counseling and other resources.
• Conduct intake, safety planning, and ongoing goal development.
• Attend roll calls with service area police departments and provide accompaniment.
• Coordinate with agencies and provide transportation assistance when needed.
