Job summary

Opal Wealth Advisors seeks an experienced Learning & Development leader to build, implement, and scale a comprehensive L&D function for our growing wealth management practice in Jericho, New York. The role focuses on strategy, career architecture, competency development, performance management, and workforce readiness to elevate client-facing professionals.

You will design scalable programs, leverage technology, and partner with leadership to define career paths and readiness criteria.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in Learning & Development and/or Talent Development.
• Demonstrated experience building or substantially scaling an L&D function.
• Strong experience developing meaningful L&D metrics, competency models, career frameworks, learning journeys, and managing performance and development frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build & Scale the Learning & Development Function with a firmwide strategy, infrastructure, curriculum, governance, and scalable delivery.
• Own Performance & Development Management including design, cycle management, guidance, calibration, and continuous improvement.
• Design Learning Design, Delivery & Technology: assess skill gaps, create role-specific journeys, optimize the LMS, and leverage AI tools for personalized learning and coaching.
• Develop Advisor Development, Readiness & Workforce Capacity, defining competencies and readiness levels across roles and forecasting capacity and hiring needs.
• Create Measurement & Impact frameworks to track progress, readiness, bench strength, and business impact.
