Job summary

Mount Hermon Association, Inc. seeks a Kidder Creek Adventure Trip Lead for the summer season to host and lead river trips, ropes courses, and rock climbing for campers, ensuring safety and alignment with MHA’s mission and values.

The role requires outdoor leadership, CPR/WFR certification, and river guide training, with willingness to drive camp vehicles. This is a ministerial, on-site position with varied duties and a focus on sharing biblical truths through outdoor ministry.

Qualifications

• Must be CPR/WFR certified prior to camp arrival.
• River guide training; Swift Water Rescue required or equivalent.
• Must have completed KC River Guide School and Swift Water Rescue prior to summer.

Responsibilities

• Guide daily river, adventure and recreation trips for campers and guests.
• Host Guest Groups and river groups.
• Assist with KC programs when adventure activities are not operating.
• Lead daily meetings and communicate responsibilities to staff and supervisor.
• Care for and maintain all adventure equipment, including inspections and repairs.
• Transport campers to and from wilderness, river and camp activities.
• Ensure safety of all campers during activities while guiding.
