Job summary

Mount Hermon Association, Inc. seeks a Camp Counselor/River Guide for Kidder Creek Adventure Camp. The role involves leading groups of 7-8 campers weekly, guiding adventure and river activities, and fostering spiritual growth through curriculum and Bible studies.

Applicants must be CPR/First Aid certified and have a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Experience in camp counseling or youth leadership is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have CPR/First Aid certification prior to camp
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Completed KC River Guide School and Swift Water Rescue or equivalent
• At least 1 year of college experience preferred
• Ability to articulate the gospel and model Christian discipleship

Responsibilities

• Live with and lead approx. 7-8 campers each week
• Lead small group Bible studies
• Oversee adventure, recreation, and guiding activities
• Ensure camper safety at all times
• Attend staff meetings and help with camp housekeeping duties
• Ride the transportation bus as a chaperone on weekends
• Support the leadership team and contribute to the broader program
