Job summary

Mount Hermon Association, Inc. is seeking an Adventure Guide for Kidder Creek during the summer season. This ministerial role emphasizes faith, community, and leadership as you guide river trips, supervise equipment, and support camp activities.

Required are CPR/FA, river rescue training, lifeguard certification, and prior KC training. A valid driver’s license and a year of college are preferred, with housing and program responsibilities included.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of college experience preferred.
• Current valid driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
• CPR/FA certification required; WFR/WFA/WAFA preferred.
• Must have KC River Guide School and Swift Water Rescue (or equivalent) prior to summer.
• Lifeguard certification or ability to obtain it after hire.
• Ropes lead training must be completed at KC staff training.
• Food Handler’s Card required.

Responsibilities

• Guide adventure trips on rivers, camp ropes courses, and forests.
• Maintain and inspect river and adventure equipment; report damage.
• Transport campers to activities.
• Ensure camper safety during activities.
• Assist with food prep at river and Outback.
• Host Outback and river groups; support KC programs when needed.
• Lead debriefs and relate activities to Biblical truth.
• Lifeguard as assigned during hikes or around the pond.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
