Job summary

Villanova University is seeking an Assistant Director, University Advancement Communication (UAC) to lead creative, integrated multi-channel advancement communications for fundraising, stewardship, and engagement. You will manage a Communication Associate and work with colleagues across Alumni Relations, Stewardship, and Corporate/Foundation Relations.

This exempt, full-time role operates within University Communications and Marketing-Advancement, reporting to the director and supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in marketing, communications, or related field.
• 5+ years relevant experience in academic, non-profit, or business communications/marketing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute multi-channel advancement communication strategies for fundraising, stewardship, and engagement.
• Collaborate with University Advancement staff across Alumni Relations, Stewardship, Family Engagement, and Corporate/Foundation Relations.
• Manage one Communication Associate, overseeing daily project activities, goal setting, and performance.
• Work closely with the Director to ensure efficient operation of the department and meet deadlines and budgets.
