Job summary

Mitsubishi Power is seeking a Welder II to perform advanced welding, blending, and fabrication in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role focuses on TIG and MIG welding, along with related cutting and assembly tasks for turbine components.

The position requires the ability to read drawings, follow instructions, and maintain high safety standards while contributing to continuous improvement and on-the-job training opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or 3+ years welding experience.
• Pass AWS D17.1 qualification test accepted by MHPS Level 3 Inspector.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and write basic instructions and correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and execute operations per drawings and work instructions.
• Perform advanced welding operations using GTAW, GMAW, oxy-acetylene, and plasma cutting equipment.
• Conduct major Turbine and Combustion repairs (Class C).
• Install accessories on Turbine and Combustion components.
• Perform TPM on equipment.
