Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a hands-on aerospace hardware assembler for our Solar Center of Excellence. You will assemble solar cell strings, run solar simulators, log data, and support test setups in a collaborative R&D environment across distributed teams.

Qualifications include 5+ years aerospace assembly/test (or AS degree with 2+ years); ability to lift 25 lbs; willingness to work any shift with overtime; travel up to 25%. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO and stock options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 5+ years aerospace hardware assembly/test (or AS degree with 2+ years).
• Experience operating test equipment and recording data with traceability.
• ESD/cleanroom/FOD compliance; basic metrology experience; NC documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble solar cell strings under direction; perform welding/tabbing, lamination, and rework per instructions.
• Operate solar simulators, IV flash, EL imaging; log data accurately and maintain traceability.
• Support TVAC, thermal cycling, exposure setups; assist with test article prep and post-test inspections.
