Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Wisconsin seeks an aerospace technician to support the Solar Center of Excellence. You will assemble solar cell strings, operate test equipment, and help prepare tests for spaceflight hardware.

The role emphasizes precision, data traceability, and adherence to ESD/cleanroom protocols, with opportunities to contribute to ongoing research and lab setup. Applicants should have 4+ years in aerospace hardware assembly or an AS degree with experience.

Qualifications

• Experience operating test equipment and recording data with traceability.
• Test article prep and post-test inspection experience.
• ESD/cleanroom/FOD compliance.
• Capable of using precision tools to measure tight tolerances (calipers, micrometers).
• Basic computer skills (Windows, MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Assemble solar cell strings under direction.
• Operate solar simulators, IV flash, EL imaging under guidance.
• Log data accurately and maintain traceability.
• Support TVAC, thermal cycling, AO/UV exposure setups.
• Assist with fixture/tooling maintenance and lab organization.
• Identify and elevate build issues.
