Job summary

Blue Origin in California seeks an experienced lab specialist for ISRU-focused Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering. The role involves on‑site assembly, testing, and qualification of flight and prototype hardware for satellite and space system development.

The candidate will perform TVAC tests, hardware integration, and development activities with an emphasis on safety, documentation and rapid problem solving in a dynamic lab environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant aerospace or related experience.
• Hands‑on experience with TVAC and employment of electrical assembly tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with flight hardware, satellites, or high‑reliability systems.
• Capable of executing work orders while maintaining safety and quality.
• Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Run TVAC tests and maintain TVAC operations during qualification testing.
• Modify or generate work instructions for test and integration.
• Mechanically integrate flight hardware and subsystems.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop and test components.
• Perform development and production activities with minimal documentation.
• Assemble hardware with fabrication methods and perform rework as needed.
• Maintain familiarity with flight hardware deployment procedures.
• Manufacture and integrate space‑standard harnesses.
• Test development hardware with minimal direction from engineers.
• Conduct system fault tests and voltage measurements.
• Coordinate weekly testing goals with the area supervisor.
• Generate and review job hazard assessments and safety controls.
• Keep lab space and equipment well‑maintained.
• Coordinate calibration and maintenance schedules.
