Job summary

Vail Resorts in New Hampshire is hiring for winter seasonal positions including Snowmakers. You will operate snowmaking equipment, maintain pumps and guns, and assist day-to-day snowmaking operations in alpine environments.

Starting wage ranges from $25.25/hr to $30.61/hr with full-time hours available. Housing may be provided. Must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, fluent English, and be able to lift up to 50 lb.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience operating/maintaining heavy machinery; snowmaking experience preferred.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Ability to work outdoors in alpine environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowmaking equipment including pumps, compressors, and snow guns as per SOPs.
• Assist snowmaking lead with day-to-day operations.
• Maintain snowmaking equipment and facilities.
• Work effectively in alpine outdoor conditions and under supervision as needed.

Job Specifications:

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate all transportation vehicles as per the standard operating procedures
• Understand and teach proper snowmaking quality checks
• Assist snowmaking lead with day-to-day operations
• Understand and operate snowmaking pumps, compressors, manual and automated snowmaking guns
• Maintain snowmaking equipment and buildings as directed
• Ability to complete assigned tasks while unsupervised
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Previous experience operating/maintaining heavy machinery; snowmaking experience preferred
• Must be able to communicate fluently in English
• Ability to work outdoors in alpine environments
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lb

The expected pay range is$25.25/hr - $30.61/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
