Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring for winter 2026/27 in multiple seasonal roles including Snowmakers. This role focuses on manufactured snow production, using technical processes to lay the groundwork for the season and ensure quality snow operations across their alpine environments.

Starting wage is $25.25/hr to $30.61/hr, with full-time winter seasonal hours. Housing is available, and opportunities exist for training and advancement within a large, global mountain resort network.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate fluently in English.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous experience operating/maintaining heavy machinery; snowmaking experience preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in alpine environments.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50lb.

Responsibilities

• Operate all transportation vehicles as per the standard operating procedures.
• Understand and teach proper snowmaking quality checks.
• Assist snowmaking lead with day‑to‑day operations.
• Understand and operate snowmaking pumps, compressors, manual and automated snowmaking gunsMaintain snowmaking equipment and buildings as directed.
• Ability to complete assigned tasks while unsupervised.
• Other duties as assigned.
