Job summary

Theneuronclinic in Chula Vista, CA is seeking an advanced practitioner (NP/PA) to provide high‑quality neurologic patient care in collaboration with clinic neurologists and NPs.

You will perform independent clinical assessments, coordinate care, educate patients and families, participate in clinical meetings, and make referrals as appropriate. Fluency in English/Spanish preferred to better serve diverse patients.

Qualifications

• California NP or PA license required.
• DEA registration.
• Previous experience in neurology preferred.

Responsibilities

• In collaborative practice with the clinic neurologists and NPs, the Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistance is responsible for providing independent clinical assessment and patient care management services for Neurological patients.
• The NP/PA must be self‑directed and function with minimal direct supervision. The NP/PA functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs).
• The NP/PA will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in clinical meetings, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals.
• Document services rendered.
