Astrya Global Medical Staffing is hiring a Surgical Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Buffalo, Minnesota. This 24-week contract offers a 10:00 PM–6:30 AM schedule, with potential extension.

Responsibilities include orthopedic patient care, OR assistance for joint replacements, casting, injections, and EMR documentation using EPIC Excellian. Minnesota PA/NP license and DEA/CSR required on hire.

Qualifications

• Minnesota PA or NP license required at hire.
• Active DEA and CSR credentials.
• BLS Tier 1 certification within 180 days.
• Certification as PA (NCCPA) or NP (ANCC) in specialty upon hire.
• Maintain facility policies, procedures and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic patient care as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• See 20-25 orthopedic patients per clinic day across adolescents and adults.
• First assist in the OR for total joint replacements and related procedures.
• Perform casting, splinting and DME application.
• Administer joint injections and conduct rounds.
• Utilize EPIC Excellian EMR for documentation.

Job Title: Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA)
Location: Buffalo, Minnesota
Schedule: 10:00PM - 6:30AM x 5
Term: 24-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $107 - $115/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA) for a locum tenens assignment in Buffalo, Minnesota. These positions are 24-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Surgical Physician Assistant (SPA):

• Provide orthopedic patient care services as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner covering a 6-8 month military leave contract
• Work a Monday through Friday schedule, or Monday/Tuesday/Thursday clinic, Wednesday clinic, and Friday administrative duties from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Perform morning rounds and occasional weekend coverage as needed
• See 20-25 orthopedic patients per clinic day, including adolescent and adult populations
• First assist in the OR for total joint replacements, fracture repairs, foot/ankle, shoulder, knee, hip, hand/wrist, and general orthopedic procedures
• Perform casting, splinting, and DME application
• Administer joint injections
• Utilize EPIC Excellian EMR system for clinical documentation
• Maintain valid Minnesota PA or NP license upon hire
• Maintain active DEA and CSR credentials
• Maintain current BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support certification within 180 days
• Maintain Certification as Physician Assistant (NCCPA) or Certified Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) or equivalent PA certification within specialty upon hire
• Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and compliance documentation requirements
