Job summary

Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant (SPA) for a locum tenens assignment in Boston, MA. Schedule is 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 13-week contract with potential extension. Pay rate is $125-$130/hour, with benefits and full credentialing support via Astrya's network.

Qualified candidates possess MA/NP/PA licensure, board certification, and at least 1 year of neurosurgery experience. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current MA, NP or PA license.
• Board certified in neurosurgery or related field.
• At least 1 year of neurosurgery experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic wound care and dressing changes.
• Remove sutures and staples.
• Remove drains (JP drains, EVDs depending on facility protocols).
• Monitor ICP, vital signs, and neurologic status.
• Conduct neurological assessments and document findings.
• Outpatient will involve managing post op patients, case management, ordering imaging, scans, etc.
