Astrya Global Medical Staffing is seeking a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Buffalo, Minnesota. The position runs for 24 weeks with potential extension, and features a night shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, five days per week, at a salary of $107–$115 per hour.

The SNP will provide orthopedic patient care, assist in the OR for total joint replacements, see 20–25 patients per clinic day, and collaborate with clinic staff using EPIC Excellian EMR.

Qualifications

• Maintain active Minnesota license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• Maintain current DEA and CSR credentials.
• Maintain BLS Tier 1 certification (required within 180 days).
• Maintain active certification as PA (NCCPA) or NP (ANCC) in specialty on hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide orthopedic patient care as an NP or PA for a 6-8 month contracted assignment.
• Work Monday–Friday with a rotating schedule: OR days, clinic day, and admin day.
• Perform morning rounds and occasional weekend coverage as needed.
• See 20–25 orthopedic patients per clinic day across adolescent and adult populations.
• First assist in the OR for total joint replacements and other orthopedic procedures.
• Apply casts, splints, and DME as needed; administer joint injections.

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP) for a locum tenens assignment in Buffalo, Minnesota. These positions are 24-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Surgical Nurse Practitioner (SNP):

• Provide orthopedic patient care services as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner covering a 6-8 month military leave contract
• Work Monday through Friday with a rotating schedule including OR days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday), clinic day (Wednesday), and administrative day (Friday), 7:00am–4:30pm
• Perform morning rounds and occasional weekend coverage as needed
• See 20–25 orthopedic patients per clinic day, including adolescent and adult patient populations
• First assist in the OR for total joint replacements, fracture repairs, foot/ankle, shoulder, knee, hip, hand/wrist, and general orthopedic procedures
• Apply casts, splints, and DME (durable medical equipment) as clinically indicated
• Administer joint injections as part of orthopedic patient management
• Utilize EPIC Excellian EMR system for clinical documentation and charting
• Maintain active Minnesota license as a Physician Assistant (MN Board of Medical Practice) or Nurse Practitioner (Minnesota Board of Nursing)
• Maintain current DEA and CSR credentials
• Maintain current BLS Tier 1 – Basic Life Support certification (required within 180 days)
• Maintain active Physician Assistant certification through NCCPA or equivalent Nurse Practitioner certification (ANCC or equivalent) within specialty upon hire
• Collaborate with 1 clinical support staff member on designated clinic days
• Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and compliance documentation requirements
