Job summary

UNC Health Care's UNC Health Medical Group Urgent Care Wake County is seeking full-time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners to join an interdisciplinary team across multiple Wake County locations.

Providers treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries, provide occupational health services and exams, and work in a shift-based model with on-site X-ray and point-of-care testing availability.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• One to two years NP work experience in acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting.
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain licensure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to establish rapport with patients and collaborate with team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting.
• DOT Certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries in an urgent care setting.
• Provide occupational health services and exams.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team in a walk-in clinic with on-site imaging and POCT.

Description

UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located in the Triangle of NC, have Full-time openings for Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners (NP) at multiple locations in Wake County. Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and providing occupational health services and exams. These are employed positions with UNCHMG and a shift-based model. Our provider team staffs our 9 UNCHMG Wake County based UNC Urgent Care clinics. We see ages 4 months of age and older. Our team includes RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs, Physicians and APPs. We have on-site X-Ray and point of care testing. Our clinics are walk-in based with a reservation and wait time system.
