Job summary

UNC Health Medical Group in Wake County, NC, is seeking full-time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners to join a fast-paced, walk-in clinic network with on-site X-ray and point-of-care testing.

Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and see patients aged 4 months and older, with a schedule that includes weekends and holidays. This is an employed, onsite position with UNC Health Medical Group.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain.
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
• Must provide care to patients 4 months and older.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• DOT Certification.
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Treat episodic illnesses and minor injuries.
• Provide occupational health services and exams.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team.

Description

UNCHMG Urgent Care clinics, located in the Triangle of NC, have Full-time openings for Urgent Care Nurse Practitioners (NP) at multiple locations in Wake County. Providers are part of an interdisciplinary team and responsible for treating episodic illnesses, minor injuries, and providing occupational health services and exams. These are employed positions with UNCHMG and a shift-based model. Our provider team staffs our 9 UNCHMG Wake County based UNC Urgent Care clinics. We see patients 4 months of age and older. Our team includes RNs, CMAs, Rad Techs, MOAs, Physicians and APPs. We have on-site X-Ray and point of care testing. Our clinics are walk‑in based with a reservation and wait time system.

Ideal Candidate

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Work experiencein acute care, primary care, urgent care, or emergency room setting preferred
• Must provide care to patients 4 months of age and older
• NC Licensure or ability to obtain
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills, with ability to establish rapport with patients & collaborate effectively with team members
• The ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
• Required procedures: Suturing, splinting
• DOT Certification
• Knowledge of OSHA recordables preferred, but not required

• 8:00am - 8:00pm (Sunday - Saturday)
• Plus, weekends & holidays
• Flexible, Fulltime Schedule
• Location: Multiple Locations - Wake County
