Job summary

American Family Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to care for patients within the scope of training and agreement, collaborating with other providers to ensure efficient flow and high patient satisfaction at a franchised AFC location.

The role requires board certification and active PA/NP licensure in the state, ability to multi-task, and excellent communication with patients and staff; duties include history taking, diagnoses, treatment, and emergency stabilization as needed.

Qualifications

• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified – (with 1 yr ER/UC experience preferred)
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required
• Able to multi-task and work independently
• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family
• Professional appearance and attitude

Responsibilities

• Take detailed health histories and order appropriate studies.
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and refer patients to appropriate facilities.
• Institute emergency measures and stabilization as needed.
• Interpret and analyze patient data to guide treatment.
• Provide health care guidance to patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
