Job summary

American Family Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider/Nurse Practitioner to care for patients within the scope of training and approved agreements at a franchised AFC location. The role requires collaboration with other providers to ensure efficient patient flow and high satisfaction, with duties and benefits varying by franchise.

The position involves performing detailed histories, diagnoses, and therapy; providing care instructions; and handling emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA board certification is required (ER/UC experience preferred).
• Active NP licensure in the practice state, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Take complete health histories, review records, and order appropriate studies.
• Formulate diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals to facilities and resources.
• Provide emergency measures and stabilization in critical situations.
• Interpret patient data to guide management and treatment.
• Educate patients and families on health care and prevention.
