Job summary

SSM Health-SLUCare Cardiology at Saint Louis University Hospital is seeking a dedicated full-time nurse practitioner or physician assistant to expand our Cardiac clinic. The selected NP/PA will contribute to outpatient visits, new consultations, and chronic disease management for heart failure, CAD, and arrhythmia, within a collaborative team.

Outpatient duties are Monday–Friday with inpatient rounding 1:4.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an NP or PA program and hold current certification.
• Cardiology experience strongly preferred with ability to work autonomously.
• Missouri RN/APRN or PA licensure eligibility required.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic management including new consultations and follow-ups and chronic heart failure, CAD, and arrhythmia care.
• Inpatient rounding rotation of 1:4 with flexible coverage needs.
• No nights, weekends, holidays, or on-call obligations.
• Collaborate with physicians in a state-of-the-art facility.

Job description

SSM Health-SLUCare Cardiology, Cardiology | SLUCareis seeking a dedicated full-time (1.0 FTE) experienced nurse practitioner or physician assistant. The selected NP/PA will contribute to the expansion of our Cardiac clinic at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Prior experience in cardiology strongly preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with physicians.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program.
• Current certification as an RN/APRN or Physician Assistant.
• Possession of, or eligibility for, Missouri RN/APRN licensure or PA licensure.

Position Details:

• Outpatient clinic environment, Monday through Friday, with inpatient rounding responsibilities.
• Independently manage outpatient visitsincluding new consultations and follow-upsas well as provide chronic disease management in heart failure, coronary artery disease, and arrhythmia according to scope of practice.
• Participate in an inpatient rounding rotation of 1:4 (one week every four weeks), requiring flexibility based on coverage needs.
• There are no nights, weekends, holidays, or call obligations.
