Job summary

Hutchinson Regional Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) for its Emergency Department. The role involves performing exams, diagnosing acute and chronic conditions, prescribing within scope, and coordinating care with physicians and nurses.

This full-time-equivalent position emphasizes patient-centered care and continuous improvement. Applicants must be NP or PA graduates with current licensure, board certification, and, if applicable, DEA registration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current state license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• National board certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA).
• Active DEA registration (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and obtain patient histories.
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies within scope of practice.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (labs, imaging, etc.).
• Provide education and counseling on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Document thoroughly in the EHR and collaborate with the care team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development.
