AdventHealth South Overland Park is seeking an Advanced Pharmacy Technician to support expert-level pharmacy operations across sterile compounding, inventory, and automation. The role collaborates with pharmacists and healthcare teams to ensure patient-centered care, safety, and regulatory compliance.

The candidate will lead training, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help advance department goals through mentorship and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred; technical/pharmacy training valued.
• Two years of contemporary hospital pharmacy experience requested.
• RPhT and CPhT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced pharmacy technician functions in centralized and automated workflows.
• Manage sterile compounding and hazardous drug handling per standards.
• Lead inventory and formulary management to optimize costs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (DEA, USP standards) and quality improvement.
